SCA Brewing Intermediate - A Deeper Understanding of Coffee Brewing
This two-day coffee training course is recommended for more experienced coffee brewers interested in increasing their skills and understanding of brewing coffee.
Attendees will use popular brewing devices to prepare coffee varying each of the essential elements of brewing. They'll critically taste their results, then use a refractometer and coffee brewing control chart to measure and analyze strength and extraction. Attendees will learn to troubleshoot their brewing and intentionally vary the elements of their brew plan to balance coffee flavor and strength.

Attendees who complete this Specialty Coffee Association CSP Course and pass the Written and Practical exams will receive the SCA Brewing Intermediate Certificate. Course fees include testing fee.
Successful completion of SCA Brewing Foundation or equivalent is required prior to attending this course. All knowledge and skill from this class will be assumed as being held and may be tested through the practical and/or written tests.
