SCA Barista Intermediate - Attendee Approved by AST (SCA MEMBER)
This two-day barista training course is recommended for experienced, currently-working baristas interested in increasing their skills and understanding of coffee, espresso, milk technique, and cafe business aspects.
Attendees will explore the impact that coffee's growing and processing has on the sensory aspects of a brewed espresso. They'll practice dialing-in their espresso to achieve different flavors and critically taste their results. Hands-on activities help refine milk steaming techniques and introduce basic latte art. They'll practice effective station management and workflow approaches to smoothly and efficiently prepare multiple-drink orders. Customer service approaches and product cost calculations will also be discussed.
