Possibly one of the oldest coffee farms still operational in Central America, Finca Siberia was founded in the late 1800s and earned its moniker after the Silva family founders chose one of the highest, coldest and most remote mountains in the Apaneca-Illamatepec range to plant seedlings. While the cold weather poses many challenges (coffee does NOT like frost), it also induces slow maturation of the trees resulting in complex and lively coffees. Rafael and Carmen Elena currently separate many types of varieties across their farm, and this Pacamara is truly a rare and very special treat.
