Tasting Notes: Sweet grapefruit, chocolate, juicy, fig cookies
Peaberry coffees have long held a special place in coffee drinkers' hearts. Most coffee cherries contain a pair of seeds growing so closely together that they develop matching flat spots. When a coffee plant grows a single-seeded cherry, though, the result is a rounded coffee bean called a peaberry. Many believe that this single seed tastes better because it doesn't have to share the flavor it receives from the parent tree. No matter the reason, we enjoy the distinctive sweet grapefruit, chocolate, and fig cookie flavors of this Tanzania Peaberry coffee.
