SCA Sensory Skills Foundation + Intermediate Package
This comprehensive three-day coffee training course bundle is recommended for roasters, baristas, and anyone interested in learning how to taste specialty coffee professionally.
Sensory Skills Foundation covers the essentials of sensory evaluation in a practical and interactive manner. It investigates the way we perceive what we taste and how to apply this knowledge when evaluating coffee’s natural characteristics.
Sensory Skills Intermediate enables students to develop their sensory skills and knowledge to an even higher level by exploring three main subject areas: how we perceive and interpret taste, smell, and flavor, how to conduct cupping sessions, and how to set up a robust sensory program in a coffee business.
The program also includes practical exercises to develop students' abilities to identify specialty coffee attributes, rank samples, conduct blind and triangulation assessments, and taste the broad diversity of specialty coffee.
