This comprehensive coffee training course introduces the key skills and equipment required to properly brew coffee. Coffee professionals and enthusiasts alike will build a solid foundation of coffee brewing skills in this Specialty Coffee Association course.
In this course, we’ll introduce the art and science of brewing coffee. We'll discuss the essential elements of good brewing, learn about popular brewing devices, and discuss how small details of brewing techniques can affect the finished results.
We’ll also learn how to use our senses to evaluate brewed coffee, and how differences in coffee’s seed-to-cup journey affect the finished brew.
This course also includes plenty of hands-on time in our Coffee Skills Campus Brewing lab. We’ll use a variety of popular brewing devices to explore how the essential elements of brewing can produce properly and improperly prepared coffee and taste the results.

Certificate:
Attendees who complete this Specialty Coffee Association CSP Course and pass the online written exam will receive the SCA Brewing Foundation Certificate. Course fees include testing fee.
Prerequisites:
No prior experience is necessary, completion of SCA Introduction to Coffee is strongly recommended prior to this course.
